A NEW BEGINNING....
The recent Aamir Khan starrer was really an inspiring piece of art. I’m sure the “sms generation” as they call it, must’ve been motivated by the rebellion portrayed by the characters.
But as I watched the episodes of freedom struggle for the ‘umpteenth’ time, I felt that isn’t it time now that we stopped drooling over the past, however glorious it may be, and think of how to make our future equally splendid? For the last 59 years of independence we have been repeating the same old stories over & over again, I also realized that this actually means that for the last 59 years we havnt had in our nation, which is known to be the largest democracy, a single leader, a single revolutionist, a single icon whom we can look up to.
There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that our freedom fighter heroes such as Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ramprasad Bismil, Mangal Pandey, Ashfaq-ulla Khan & many more have sacrificed not just their youth but also their lives for the independence of our Bharat Mata and the life-threatening efforts that they have put in will never ever be forgotten in the history of India.
But I feel, as the saying goes “history repeats itself”, isn’t it time now that we leave the past behind and think of doing something that will create new history in the pages of India? As depicted in a number of recent Indian movies, the Indian youth today has a lot of courage, energy, zest & determination to create India- a Brand Name. Their perspective towards our nation is also changing.
I would like to quote here our President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, one of the most brilliant & finest Indians we have today. He says in his book titled ‘Ignited Minds’ that “Given the freedom to achieve and guided properly, I am convinced that the young of India can accomplish far more. They have the ability to achieve the best in this world. They have a fantastic mix of belief and knowledge that sets them apart from any other nation on earth.”
So with this thought in mind friends, let us move on to make a better future for our nation.
